Central Sign Supplies Celebrates 75 Years in Business in Omaha

Wholesale Sign Supplies & Vinyl Since 1951

Family-owned wholesale distributor, founded in 1951, reaches its 75th year supplying sign shops, print shops, and garment decorators nationwide.

OMAHA, NE, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Central Sign Supplies, a family-owned wholesale distributor in Omaha, Nebraska, is marking 75 years in business in 2026. Founded in 1951, the company supplies sign shops, print shops, and garment decorators with materials and equipment, with pickup in Omaha and shipping nationwide.

Don Klatt, a young man from What Cheer, Iowa, started the business in 1951 with $19,822 in inventory and three employees. His sons Jack and Jim took over in 1978. In 2010, Jim's sons assumed ownership, and they run the company today, making Central Sign Supplies a three-generation family business.

"Celebrating 75 years is an incredible milestone for Central Sign Supplies. Since 1951, the sign industry has changed tremendously, from hand-painted signs and traditional materials to computer-cut vinyl, digital printing, and the technology and tools shops use today. Through all of these years, Central has continued to evolve while staying focused on what has always mattered most: taking care of customers and building relationships that last. We're proud to have served generations of sign makers and to have grown alongside so many of their businesses. We're incredibly grateful to our employees, customers, and partners who've been part of the Central Sign Supplies story over the past 75 years, and we're excited to see where the industry goes next and to continue serving it for many years to come," said Ryan and Lee Klatt, who lead the company today.

Central Sign Supplies is an ORAFOL Premier Distributor for Oracal, Orajet and Oraguard products and an authorized Siser distributor for heat transfer vinyl. It is also a Graphtec dealer and Authorized Service Center, so the same Omaha team that sells a cutter can service it. The catalog includes sign vinyl, print media and laminates, banner supplies, screen printing inks and emulsion, and sign substrates such as ACM, aluminum, coroplast, acrylic and PVC, along with Hotronix heat presses. The company's website also carries guides on topics such as choosing a Graphtec cutter and the differences among Oracal 651, 751, and 951 vinyl.

Orders placed by 3:00 PM Central ship the same day, and shipping is free on qualifying orders over $149, and can be purchased without a wholesale account. Customers can browse the catalog online or call 1-800-999-3160.
